Application:

The CNC gantry-type drilling and milling machine is specifically engineered to carry out drilling, chamfering, tapping, and milling operations on plate-shaped and structural components—including flanges, discs, rings, and flat plates—within its valid processing range, regardless of the components’ thickness. It is equipped with the capability to drill both through-holes and blind holes in workpieces crafted from single materials as well as composite materials. The machining process is controlled by digital systems, which ensures a high degree of operational convenience for users.

Mobile Saddle

The mobile saddle is a precision cast iron structural component. Mounted on the saddle are two CNC linear rail slides with ultra-high load-bearing capacity, a set of precision ball screw pairs, and a high-precision planetary reducer—all configured to connect with the servo motor.

The weight of the power head is balanced to reduce the load on the screw, thereby extending the screw’s service life. The drilling power head is driven to move along the Z-axis, enabling the power head to perform actions such as rapid forward movement, working forward movement, rapid backward movement, and stopping. Additionally, it is equipped with functions including automatic chip breaking, chip retraction, and pause.

Drilling Head

The drilling power head adopts a dedicated servo spindle motor, which drives a dedicated precision spindle via a toothed synchronous belt to enhance torque output. The spindle is fitted with a Japanese angular contact bearing configuration of four front rows and two rear rows (a total of six rows), enabling stepless speed adjustment.

Equipped with a pneumatic tool change system, the spindle allows for fast and convenient tool replacement. The feed motion is driven by a servo motor and a ball screw. The X-axis and Y-axis support linkage functionality and adopt semi-closed-loop control, which enables the implementation of linear and circular interpolation functions. The spindle end features a BT50 taper hole and is equipped with a high-speed rotary joint. It supports machining operations using high-speed U-drills with center coolant outlet, facilitating efficient drilling processes.
